Echoes of History

Echoes of History is an ink-on-paper installation based on archival newspaper texts from Malaysia and Singapore between 1941 and 1968.

Handwritten and enlarged, the works transform printed history into a slower and more intimate form.

Between official record and personal memory, the installation reflects on how history remains fragmented, contradictory, and continuously retold.
