Exhibition space with the sign 'Stateless Mind Pavilion' on a black wall, four tables with books or magazines, and framed artwork on the white wall to the left.

Stateless Mind was not built as a fixed body.
It evolves through people, contexts, and conditions

Origins

Stateless Mind was initiated by Amir Zainorin as a series of artist-led festivals in Copenhagen, Denmark (2018–2023), bringing together migrant and diaspora artists through performances, screenings, and collective gatherings.

Rooted in his lived experience between Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Denmark, and Europe, the project emerged as a response to questions of displacement, identity, and belonging.

From these encounters, the Stateless Mind Pavilion evolved—an artist-led platform for collaboration, exchange, and public engagement across contexts.

The project continues to expand into new forms, including Stateless House, a residency and meeting space, and PACAK, an upcoming art festival. Stateless Mind moves between forms—festival, pavilion, house—remaining open, adaptable, and in motion.
